WE ARE STATIONS ROCK HIGHLINE BALLROOM

This entire show was like taking a journey down memory lane. I had almost forgotten how great Highline Ballroom is (one of my favorite venues in NYC), where I had the pleasure of seeing We Are Stations, a new and upcoming band from New York City, along with William Beckett, who I haven’t seen since his “The Academy Is” days, Against The Current and Paradise Fears.

We are Stations is clearly a rock band with a pop-punk side. I can see them being HUGE in the “Warped Tour” scene because they know exactly how to get you on your feet, singing along at the top of your lungs. Girls love them, guys love them and even your mom will love them. Everyone was jumping up and down so hard; you could feel the floor shaking from upstairs. They recently unveiled their brand new single “Keep Your Head Up”, and it’s definitely something to be proud of. Everyone knows I’m a sucker for relatable lyrics and solid instrumentals. I mean who isn’t? I fell in love with this song as well as, “Found My Way.” This isn’t a band too concerned with the awesome lifestyle and perks of being in the music industry; they just want to create their own brand of rock ‘n roll and connect with their fans on a whole other level. This is the type of group you want to wait outside for after their show, just so you can brag about how you met and took pictures with them. It’s refreshing to know that bands like this still exist. Do yourself a favor and listen to We Are Stations ASAP!
