FRENCH HORN REBELLION HAS A LATE NIGHT PARTY AT CAMEO GALLERY

It seems like classifying a band’s sound as a specific genre is getting harder everyday. What genre crossbreeds eighties-inspired synth, sub-bass, and digital break-beats with french horn? Enter French Horn Rebellion. Along with DJ sets from Violet Sands, Mighty Five, and Mr. JPatt (of The Knocks), the Milwaukee Natives played to a full room Friday night at the Cameo Gallery in Williamsburg.

Brothers Robert and David Perlick-Molinari led the genre-defying group through an irresistibly danceable setlist that would attract even the most reclusive of wallflowers to the dancefloor. Hot on the heels of their most recent release, New Jack Swing, Pt. 1 – French Horn Rebellion played their high-energy brand of dance music late into the wee hours of the night without a dull moment. They concluded their killer set with “Don’t You Want Me” by Human League, the eighties-est song of all time.
