PANCAKES AND WHISKEY PRESENTS: PHILLY’S PHINEST AT THE KNITTING FACTORY

Mark your calendars, everybody, because Pancakes & Whiskey is proud to present Philly’s Phinest at the Knitting Factory next month! This Philly-fueled fest will take place on Sunday, April 17th, and is bringing together four awesome acts, all from Philadelphia, PA. Meet the artists we’ll be partying with. Get your tickets here before they sell out!

Former Belle – Started by frontman Bruno Catrambone in 2010 (lead guitarist for CRUISR), Former Belle is a unique project that has taken on many forms. The indie rockers first put themselves on the map in Philly when they released their full-band EP, Songs From the Ground. They have a new EP coming this spring, and will be performing the latest and greatest at Philly’s Phinest next month.

Tutlie – Formed right around the same time was another fine Philly indie act, Tutlie, led by Jessie Radlow. Featuring Rebecca Katz on vocals, Tutlie have been called “one of Philly’s most imaginative bands” by Philadelphia’s WXPN. We can’t wait to see what they’ll bring to the Phinest lineup in April.

Hemming – Candice Martello, aka Hemming, is an indie singer-songwriter who shares the hometown and genre of her fellow headliners. With her rhythmic, folk influences and supercharged vocals, Hemming first made a splash with her 2015 self-titled album. You can see what she’s been up to lately at next month’s event.

Grandchildren – These alternative rockers are known for their cinematic orchestrations and high-energy performances, which blend electronic, folk, and pop in a way that has resonated well in Philly’s scene. Founded by songwriter Aleks Martray in 2008, Grandchildren have kept the momentum going over the years with three solid, full-length releases, including Everlasting, Golden Age, and Zuni. Join us on April 17th to show them some NYC hospitality and see what they’re all about!
