SONG PREMIERE: ‘WORKING FOR THE BAD GUYS’ BY MUSTARDMIND

We are excited for the new EP, Peep, from Mustardmind to drop this week and are happy to premiere the 5 minute electro-rock adventure off the album titled “Working For The Bad Guys” today.

Mustardmind - PEEP

Mustardmind – Peep EP

With a perfect combination of rolling bass, understated guitar, popping percussion, wavy synths, ethereal vocals and a time signature that is spastic  – “Working For The Bad Guys gives us something shiny and new, but with a particular old-school feel. The best thing about this tune is the ferocity in which it demands to be heard; it doesn’t settle for a particular rhythm, instead it meanders around just enough to make you want to listen closer.

“I wrote ‘Bad Guys’ late 2013 soon after NIN’s new album. Trent Reznor’s unorthodox songwriting and production techniques influenced a lot of the song’s twists and turns. The rest of the Peep EP is considerably less sinister-sounding than this track but that might be why it’s my favorite.” – Bobby Lewis

Peep drops this Friday and you can grab that on their Bandcamp – also don’t miss Mustardmind’s EP release show at Berlin on 12-3-16.
