When you press play, be prepared to get transported to a different time and place with Doc Robinson’s newest single called “Slip Away.” With large doses of Soul, Funk and a little Bebop; this track harkens back to the simpler days of popular music when harmony and lyrics mattered. While classic sounding, it has a definitive new-age feel with extremely tight production that makes us want to get up and dance with whomever is in the cubicle next door.
“Slip Away” is off Doc Robinson’s upcoming debut LP that is due out in May and we couldn’t be more excited to hear more from this fantastic Indie-Pop duo out of Columbus, Ohio.
“One of the most unique things about this track is that most of what’s on the final recording was laid down in the first demo session. It’s not often that it works out that way, but we ended up falling in love with a lot of the original tones and textures and ended up sticking with them till the final mix.” – Nick D’Andrea
