PANCAKE PICKS: THE BEST SHOWS OF THE WEEK FOR 5-21-17

After the last few insanely-packed weeks of concerts, this week slows down a bit, but there’s still gold to be found including our showcase with Foxtrax on Thursday, so set your musical calendar with the help of our Pancake Picks below.

Monday

Coheed And Cambria @ Terminal 5 – The veteran rockers sold-out their show a few weeks ago at the same venue, so expect a different set-list and another rockin’ show.

Tuesday

The Damned @ Warsaw – These dudes have been going at it for 4o years so head over to the comfy Warsaw for a punk-rock history lesson.

Anna Rose @ Rockwood – Anna Rose is a must see-act that brings a high-energy performance along with a unique style to her shows. *8pm set time.

Wednesday

Flogging Molly @ Irving Plaza – Punk-rock done in a Celtic (Irish) way that will have Irivng Plaza bouncing.

Thursday

Foxtrax & Del Water Gap @ Webster Hall – We’ve been waiting for this incredible bill that we are presenting for a few months now featuring fast-rising NYC bands that have star-power. Tickets going fast so might want to jump on it before it sells-out.

Friday

God Tiny + Stuyedeyed @ Knitting Factory – Really cool bill with some of the city’s finest rock bands, pretty good deal at 10 measly bucks.

Oxymorrons @ Brooklyn Bazaar – Local Alternative hip-hop band will have the bazaar banging on Friday.

Saturday

Elf Power @ Baby’s All Right – Excellent veteran psych-folk-rock out of Athens, GA that if you haven’t seen, you might want to check it off your list this week.

Sunday

Teen Commandments @ Baby’s – This NYC synth-pop band just does it right and will have Baby’s dancing up a storm.

Surf Rock Is Dead @ Brooklyn Bazaar – While surf-rock isn’t officially dead yet (sorry, had to), this band is an excellent representation of what is coming out of the hot Brooklyn indie-scene right now.
