Bass virtuoso, Stephen Bruner, who is better known as Thundercat played two consecutive sold out nights at Brooklyn Steel this past weekend. This musical mastermind, who can switch between soul-funk-jazz fusion-psychedelic-electronic music all in one song, has the musical fluidity of a classical guitar player while playing a six-string bass and singing.
Thundercat who is best known for his Grammy winning collaboration with Kendrick Lamar on the song “These Walls” off of Kendrick’s To Pimp A Butterfly is definitely making a name for himself as a live show and musician you need to see and listen to.
Currently on tour after the release of his third solo album Drunk, which was released earlier this year features Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell, Wiz Khalifa and Michael McDonald, is an album that truly shows the true musical talent that is Thundercat.
