BLEACHERS, BISHOP BRIGGS & AMY SHARK END THEIR TOUR AT BROOKLYN STEEL

Bleachers, Bishop Briggs and Amy Shark wrapped up their tour with a killer final show at Brooklyn Steel.  The whole crowd was reeling from the artists’ energy as they exited the Brooklyn warehouse venue.

Amy Billings, performing as Amy Shark, opened the night.  The Australian singer who hails from the Gold Coast has a limited discography, but puts on a seasoned show.  Her music often starts slow and then builds to an emotional peak to take listeners through multiple stages of feels.  She colors the songs before playing them by giving the audience an interesting anecdote about the track. Shark performed hit single “Adore” and music off of her first EP, Night Thinker.

Bishop Briggs, who finished her first headlining tour ahead of touring with Bleachers, followed Amy Shark.  Briggs has had quite a year playing sold out shows, Lollapalooza, the Grammy Museum, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Coachella.  Somehow exhaustion isn’t in her nature.  She brought her characteristic jumping and thrashing as she performed her dark, pop-trap hits.  The crowd went nuts when she launched into her hits “Dark Side” and “River” and her newest single “Dream.”

Jack Antonoff took to the podium and donned his white military jacket and hat for the last time on the Bleacher’s tour as he opened with “Dream of Mickey Mantle.” After the song, he quickly transitioned into his signature rolled jeans, boots, button down and ball cap.  Antonoff’s pop project is known for making its crowd sweat.  Backed by two drummers, strings and keys, Antonoff slides and dances across the stage belting out lyrics.  One moment he’s standing on a speaker shouting “Goodmorning” and on the next he’s shaking hands during “All My Heroes.”  Bleachers covered “American Girl” and closed with “Don’t Take the Money.”
