Los Angeles based Run River North came to perform at Brooklyn Night Bazaar this past weekend, along with Ash, Golden Suits, Drop Electric and DJ I, Storm. Comparisons to Mumford & Sons and Of Monsters & Men has caught a lot of attention yet the band has maintained genuineness & that’s what I loved most about the show.
The Korean-American band demonstrated authenticity, charisma, and brought a ball full of energy. Opening the show with Run River North, the soothing sounds of Americana graced everyone’s ears. The band received praise when favorites such as ‘Monsters Calling Home’ & ‘In The Water’ were performed. So much spirit behind the lyrics and musicality went into this performance and it truly made me a fan. Run River North knows what they’re doing.
The sextet recently released their self-titled debut album and they are currently on tour. What started off as producing a music video inside of their Hondas turned into the company rewarding the group with a surprise performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Their energetic stage presence definitely grasped the crowd’s attention, even calling out for an encore.
Run River North continues their tour & will be stopping in New York City once again on April 10th for their sold out show at the Rockwood Music Hall.
