Caitlin Canty, a singer/songwriter from the great state of Vermont brings us her first single off her soon to be released album – “Reckless Skyline.”
‘Get Up’ starts off with rolling drums and breathy orders to “get up, get up, get up,” which seems to be a warning of some kind to not get caught up with the small things or even the big stuff. The song is littered with gorgeous slide guitar that starts soft and slow and by the end of the track grows into a featured instrument that pulls you in to the sadness of the topic. The vocals are clean, gorgeous and almost positive in manner despite the sad topic.
If this tune is any example of what’s to come with the new album due out on 1-20, “Reckless Skyline” will be a beauty for sure. Be sure to catch Caitlin’s album release show on 1-21-15 at Rockwood Music Hall and can get your tickets here.
