Candy is a delicious electro pop jam that makes us crave for a girl’s night out on the town, bar crawling, flirting with attractive strangers, and dancing among the ladies at beloved Lower East Side spots. The mix of voices and styles to this song makes it fun and quite addictive; a modern take to the 80’s “I Want Candy,” this catchy tune will find its way to be stuck in your head for quite a bit. Johansson said, “…I would say it’s super-pop…the idea was to write super-pop dance music written and performed by girls…I love Grimes. And I love the Bangles. And I love the Go-Go’s. I wanted it to be like those bands: ultra pop but also a little ironic, a little in on the joke.”
