Laura Marling is one of the songwriters that belong in the category “wildly unknown and shamefully underestimated” in the United States. This is a fact. Also a fact: She is one of the most formidable songwriters of our generation. Her fifth studio album Short Movies will be released on March 24, and the two songs released so far promise unbridled genius. Mind you, the girl is 25. And all her records are amazing. She cannot fail.
Anyhow, this is the latest cut from Short Movies. It’s called “I Feel Your Love” and as always, Marling showcases her elegant songwriting featuring her witty lyrics and insane guitar work. Another fact: That riff is amazing.
Marling will be playing the Warsaw on March 23, so you better get your asses over there and represent. You won’t regret it.
