NYC music fans got a taste of The Living Room during its soft opening during CMJ, however it was nothing more than a tease. Williamsburg’s newest venue still waits to be fully opened, as its brief showcase back in the fall was nothing more than a careless whisper. See what I did there? Neither do I, but who cares.
Rocket & The Ghost give local music fans a bit more of a peak into the new venue, in the video for their most recent single “Better Than Before.” While the music marketing exec in me typically poo poos music videos, I do enjoy this old school model of showing the band performing their song as they would on stage rather than having them run around on some stupid adventure for entertainment purposes. After all, TRL’s been off the air for nearly a decade, so I appreciate the lack of theatrical bullshit and just focusing purely on the song. Just a real music video by a real rock band.
