The award for New York’s dopest BBQ seems to go to Atlantic Records, this summer. I popped by last Thursday and helped myself to an assortment of deliciously grilled meats, mac and cheese and a potent lemonade spiked with vodka and Red Bull. The music wasn’t too shabby either. Cid was up first at the turntables and had some fun with favorites from TLC and Odesza. The Knocks played their perfect summer anthem “Classic” before throwing down some Daft Punk mixed with a little Bill Withers. Newly signed artist Kranium dropped by and previewed his latest, remixed by Major Lazer. And all around me, attendees geeked out over music, breathlessly name dropping their favorite upcoming releases. It was short and sweet with awesome beats; exactly how I like my parties.
