Anytime we can release a 5-track burner of an EP, we do so here at P&W. Today we are excited to share with you Monograms’ newest EP called “Downer.” The EP is filled with no-nonsense guitars, straight to the point lyrics and an attitude that only Brooklyn can produce. Blast this album now and then head over to Shea Stadium tonight at 8pm to celebrate the release of “Downer,” live and up close.
“I think that this EP came out as a kinda cross section of the band morphing and committing sonically from a solo project to a full band. There’s still a few drum machines and synths that sneak in and out; but it’s all sorta soaked up with the energy of the live performance on each track.” – Ian Jacobs
