We’ve been having an amazing time on tour with X Ambassadors the past few weeks, and we’ve been lucky enough to visit some of our favorite cities. After shows, we like to unwind with a drink or two, or three… Here are some of our favorite beverages from the past few weeks…
We started our tour with a week in LA… Our guitarist Alex and his girlfriend caught some amazing cocktails at Birch, including this bougie/boozie carrot based gin cocktail… Photo by carolineoncrack.com
We played a last minute show at an amazing west hollywood haunt “No Vacancy” on Wednesday night… This was the view from the stage, and the old fashioneds were some of the best we’ve ever had. An amazing venue, and cocktail bar to say the least…
We ended the week with some beers on our friend Joanna’s porch in Mount Washington, probably my favorite place in LA…
After LA, we met up with the X Ambassadors guys in San Francisco… We didn’t have a chance to cocktail it up, but we did get some of these the morning after… Not beer… but Nitro Draft Cold brew…
After SF we headed to Portland and stumbled across this amazing Japanese restaurant/cocktail bar, biwa… We hit happy hour for half priced cocktails and $5 ramen…
The day after, we finally got a bit more time to go out after a show… We started the morning at Heart Coffee, some of the best coffee I’ve ever had…
And ended the day at Clyde Common in the Ace Hotel with Barrel Aged Negroni’s
After Portland, we headed east through Washington and Idaho to Boise. We ended up getting recommended a brand new cocktail bar, and it was quite the spot, Press & Pony. Vieux Carre, Smoked Tonic with Rye, and a couple old fashioned’s
After a few of those, this is how the night looked….
Then we headed up into the mountains, to Denver, where thanks to high altitude, the drinks hit you even harder. Another early night led to another recommendation… Bar Fausto..
We had some more adventurous cocktails this time around, including this Brown Butter washed Bourbon and Sage cocktail…
And… a Fernet, Cold brew, and egg white cocktail that definitely topped the list for the trip thus far…
The morning after, we had a day off, so naturally we had a leisurely morning, complete with Bloody Mary’s…
Now, onto St Paul!!! More adventures to come soon…
