OZY FUSION FEST SENDS A POSITIVE & POWERFUL MESSAGE AT CENTRAL PARK

will.i.am and Wyclef Jean headlined the first inaugural OZY Fusion Fest held at Central Park’s Summer Stage on Saturday afternoon. One of the hottest days of the year so far, was one of the coolest for me, despite losing half my images to the infamous Photo Goblin! These were images of some of the most thought provoking speakers, artist and entertainers of our time. Images of my favorite author Malcolm Gladwell, celebrity chef Alex Guranaschelli, Senator Corey Booker and political consultant Karl Rove to name a few. While pixelated thumbnails are all that remain of Broad City’s producers Abbi Jacobson & Ilana Glazer, recording artist Andra Day, Island Records founder Chris Blackwell, actress Issa Rae and Scandal producer Judy Smith, their messages remain permanently etched in my mind. The theme for the event was “Where the world can and should be, heading in the next decade,” and I really hope OZY Fusion Fest will be around for the next decade to keep this message going.
