Summer is flying by and being the second week in August, it’s that special time of year that we celebrate our existence with The Skins, Sharkmuffin and The Teen Age for our 3rd birthday bash at Rough Trade on Friday. Come on out and party with us and be sure to check out our Pancake Picks below for the rest of the week’s top gigs.
Tuesday
Crystal Pepsi Party @ Terminal 5 – Billed as a throwback to the Summer of ‘92, the Crystal Pepsi party (remember that stuff?!) is coming to Terminal 5 tonight and bringing all kinds of 90s nostalgia with it. The fresh lineup includes Biz Markie, Salt N’ Pepa, En Vogue, and Lisa Loeb.
Thursday
Hank & Cupcakes + The VeeVees @ LPR – Hank & Cupcakes, the Atlanta-based indie rock-pop duo who flaunt a Bukowski reference in their name, will be playing Le Poisson Rouge this Thursday, after this summer brought us their latest full-length, Cheap Thrill. Fans can also look forward to the explosive, bombshell rock of The VeeVees, who blew us away last time we saw them.
Twenty One Pilots @ Madison Square Garden – Ohio’s much-loved hip-hop duo, Twenty One Pilots, is made up of lead vocalist/keyboardist Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun – and the two are sure to draw a big crowd at the Garden this Wednesday and Thursday. After the release of 2015’s Blurryface and a trail of hits behind them, we’re looking forward to a good show.
Friday
Pancakes And Whiskey’s 3rd Birthday Bash with The Skins @ Rough Trade – Of course, there’s one thing that should definitely be on your calendar for this week… our 3rd birthday party! The big, bad Pancakes & Whiskey birthday bash is going down this Friday at Rough Trade, and you won’t want to miss this year’s awesome special guests, The Skins, Sharkmuffin, and The Teen Age. Not only that, but it’s sponsored by the insanely delicious Sixpoint Brewery, and the half-priced beers are on us! Need we say more? Buy your tickets here before they sell out.
Saturday
Great Caesar @ Rough Trade – Brooklyn’s own Great Caesar are playing Rough Trade this Saturday, and fans can expect to hear some songs from their newest EP, Jackson’s Big Sky, just released in March. The indie rockers will be joined by openers Zuli and Color Tongue.
