Monday
PJ Harvey @ Terminal 5 – Word is PJ Harvey absolutely tore up Terminal 5 the other night, so this show would be a no-brainer if you missed the first one.
Tuesday
Not Blood Paint @ Rough Trade – The Brooklyn art-rock group ends their tour at Rough Trade and will prove to be one of the best shows this summer at the record store.
Dawes @ Rough Trade – What, a free Dawes show? Count us in! This is an early set, so get down to Rough Trade for 6pm doors (if your smart, earlier, as this will fill up quick) for the 6:30pm set.
Wednesday
High Waisted at Sea 3 @Skyport Marina – Throw on your finest beach clothes (think Hawaiian) and head down to the marina for the best boat party in the city, with NYC’s premiere party band High Waisted. PBR is sponsoring with an OPEN BAR from 7-9, and if that isn’t reason enough there will also be face painting, a photo-booth and Go Go Dancing. Get your tickets here.
Thursday
The Nth Power @ Knitting Factory – One of the best soul bands in The Nth Power will hit the Knit stage full force, so come prepared to dance and groove the night away.
Picture This @ LPR – In the last year, the young Irish pop-rock duo have really taken off in Europe, and this show at one of our favorite venues should help them make a mark here in the states for their U.S. debut. This is a gig you’ll be telling your friends about – get your tickets here.
Friday
Gringo Star @ Shea Stadium BK – The beloved Atlanta indie-rock group returns to the city with an intimate show at the equally beloved Bushwick venue for what should be a great night of no-frills music.
Saturday
Billboard Hot 100 Fest@ Jones Beach – Sometimes you have to head on out to Jones Beach and with Billboard Hot 100 festival you’ll be rewarded for your trek with acts like Calvin Harris, Ariana Grande, J. Cole and many more.
On The Rise @ LPR – We always encourage folks to hit these showcases at Le Poisson Rouge as it spotlights the best up-and-coming bands the city has to offer. This months version is a real good one including Surf Rock Is Dead, Coastgaard, Dentist and Little Racer.
Sunday
Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip) @ LPR Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip released an all piano album recently and according to our writer’s review, this will be a unique show for those who love the Hot Chip vocalist/keyboardist.
