Today we revisit the Rio summer Olympics and some synchronized swimming events….just kidding! What we really have is a fantastically filmed video for “Over and Know,” by the bi-coastal indie-pop band ONSEN.
Featuring the work of world champion synchronized swimmers Bill May & Kanako Kitao, the video which was directed by Brandon Andrew, is absolutely stunning and compliments the tune’s lonely nature. The song starts with quirky and deep synths that never let up, then the ethereal and dystopian lyrics come at us like a call for help. We feel the main characters’ loneliness, we sympathize with him, we also want to see him swim with the tandem, but it just doesn’t happen.
