For chicks like me – and presumably, many women, Black people, Hispanic people, Muslim Americans, LGBTQ members, environmentalists, activists, free-thinkers, Meryl Streep fans, and non-pussy-grabbing men – watching a Donald Trump action figure melt over a roaring flame is insanely cathartic. Tonight, we have a mysterious new band called New Mystics to thank for the visual, not to mention the excellent song that comes with it, entitled “Modern.” It takes some guts to put this stuff out there, especially on the eve of the inauguration, and we gotta say, we’re pretty impressed.
“Hey @Donald J. Trump,” their Facebook post calls out boldly, “the youth of our nation has been watching…” Whoever these guys are, they’re clearly unafraid of any repercussions from the President-Elect or his administration. But they’re definitely clear on their first amendment rights.
