Von Grey @ Rockwood Music Hall – If you’re looking for something to do right after work, head over to Rockwood for 6pm and catch Von Grey – a really cool synth-rock band out of Atlanta.
Tuesday
The Black Angels @ Brooklyn Steel – American psychedelic-rock at its best at the city’s best new venue = big time win.
Panama Wedding @ Baby’s All Right – We’ve been closely following Peter Kirk and his band Panama Wedding since we’ve been a publication and are consistently blown away by his sets.
Wednesday
Frances Cone @ Baby’s All Right Three years ago, Frances Cone played our CMJ showcase as a somewhat unknown entity. They’re back and have been making waves on Spotify with millions of listens.
The Revolution @ Webster Hall – Members of Prince’s old band are touring and the reviews are great thus far.
Thursday
Kikagaku Moyo @ Rough Trade – “Kikagaku Moyo” translated to English, means, ‘Geometric Patterns’ and that’s what you get with this incredible psych-rock band out of Japan that will have you shaking your head at their arrangements.
Redd Kross & Roya @ Bowery Ballroom – The legendary band opened for Black Flag over 30 years ago in their FIRST gig. Catch the alt-rock legends with Roya opening for an incredible night of music.
Coin @ LPR – Having just released a record last week, expect new tunes from the indie-pop band out of Nashville.
Friday
Black Lips @ Webster Hall – If you’ve never been to a Black Lips gig, then expect the unexpected as their live shows are legendary and has included vomiting, urination, tons of moshing to go along with their fast-paced garage-rock.
JR JR @ Baby’s – Formerly known as Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr – JR JR still makes great pop music that will have Baby’s in a frenzy.
Grim Streaker, Total Slacker, Dead Stars & Lost Boy? @ Knitting Factory – Really solid bill of great local acts for cheap at the friendly Knitting Factory.
Saturday
Catfish & The Bottlemen @ Brooklyn Steel – The Catfish boys are back with their good looks and poppy-vibes.
Skaters, The Britanys & Alexander F @ Baby’s – Another great, solid, local billing at one of our favorite venues.
