On Wednesday, April 26th, Robert Randolph & The Family Band made a stop on their Got Soul tour at NYC’s Gramercy Theatre. The pedal steel-guitar Phenom, Robert Randolph, surrounds himself with an unbelievable musical family band, full of cousins and siblings, who will have you dancing and enjoying music the way that it is supposed to be. The night was full of sounds off of their latest album, Got Soul, but also great covers.
Putting their own spin on The Band’s, “Up On Cripple Creek,” and Bill Withers, “Use Me.” The crowd was full of energy from start to finish, which is next to impossible when this group of talented musicians are performing with the amount of energy and talent that fills the stage. When watching a band like this perform, it is hard to name the top highlight of the night, but the only way to really find out is to make sure you see them live whenever you have the chance.
