Greeted by deliciously, cold Guinness beers – we were invited to Republic Records HQ for a special performance by the very talented and quickly succeeding indie rock band Picture This, promoting their self titled album debuting August 25th.
Hailing from County Kildare, Ireland – this dynamic band has been winning audiences everywhere from Ireland to the Big Apple. Seeing them play in a very intimate show, you can see why – there’s a sincere and down to earth vibe that emanates from the band. Playing songs like “Jane” and “Let’s Be Young,” you could see the crowd smile across the room as they energetically played. It’s hard not to reminisce about having crazy adventures with friends while listening to their catchy lyrics and hooks. Each song of theirs tell a story of friendship, love, heartbreak, and giving into the ‘life is short’ motto.

After watching their live interview on Build Series, it’s crazy to think how powerful the influence of Shazam is – which is exactly how they got discovered by Republic RecordS. Picture This was the most Shazamed artist in Ireland, hitting a quite impressive almost 50,000 hits. Just as they are talented songwriters – they add an exciting element to their performance which is what makes their music all the more captivating.

Closing the set with their breakout song, Take My Hand, the band’s chemistry is part of their successful journey. Picture This is definitely a rising band that you’d love to see live. You can catch then at Bowery Ballroom this September!
