Throwback Thursday isn’t just for images on the old Instagram – in this case we get a straight-up, old-fashioned rocker filled with classic guitar, sizzling keys and a voice, we can’t help but listen to a little closer. Not unlike the classic rompers of the late 60’s, Bear Call brings us a wonderful new tune called “Go Home” and we think that it mixes the best of the past, with a razor-sharp-edge, that only a year like 2017 could bring.
The San Francisco band reminds us a bit of Twin Peaks with a hint of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, and delves deep into the classic rock sound complete with warbly keyboards, hammering bass and catchy choruses that decide to take up residency in the same part of your brain amongst the classics.
