We are excited to premiere the new video from The Ghost Of Paul Revere called “Kings Road” today here at Pancakes And Whiskey.
Shot over the last few years by the band’s guitarist, Griffin Sherry, the footage details travels throughout the States while on tour and gives us an inside look at The Ghost Of Paul Revere’s long and winding road.
“Kings Road,” fittingly enough, was written in that same van and Banjoist Max Davis remarked that “Lyrically it wrestles with this transient lifestyle, the idea of different paths in life, and the struggle of holding to what you believe will equate to the most vibrant existence, even if it is only in your mind. The condensed passing of time through a wide range of weather and landscape visually mirror these ideas.”
The song is entrenched in the Americana and Folk sound and provides us with supple guitar and banjo, delicate piano and a lyrical delivery that is honest and downright soaring at times. “Kings Road” is off the Maine-based band’s newest album entitled Monarch and is a collection of amazing roots music that is sentimental and worthy of year-end lists.
