LPX PLAY BABY'S ALL RIGHT - Pancakes And Whiskey

Neon Gold Records hosted another Popshop NYC event that featured LPX at Baby’s All Right on Tuesday night. Lizzy Plapinger, one half of MS MR, performs as a solo artist under the moniker LPX. MS MR is characterized as synth-pop, while LPX is grounded in hard-hitting alternative rock.

As co-owner of the boutique New York based label, Neon Gold Records, Plapinger has been exposed to a wide variety of music- and had a hand in starting the careers of known artists like Passion Pit, Marina & the Diamonds, Ellie Goulding, and Charli XCX. The contact with multiple artists in different genres helped inform her new path with LPX. On stage, Plapinger performs like a woman possessed. She matches her high-energy music (think “Slide”) with crazy dancing, hair flips and knowing smiles. On Tuesday, LPX played hit single “Tightrope” and tracks off her forthcoming EP, Bolt in the Blue.
