We are excited to premiere the newest single from The Wild Kindness called “Low Roads” with you today.
Starting with jangly guitars, dreamy synths and a mid-tempo drum-beat, we are swept away in a deluge of gorgeous sound that harkens back to the days when ‘streaming’ meant something entirely different than listening to music online. That classic sound only amplifies when the lyrics are flung at us in nonchalant, yet anxious way with lines such as “Don’t ask where I’ve been…I’ve been running around looking for sin..I’ve been throwin’ caution to the wind.”
Despite having the aforementioned ‘classic sound’, don’t be fooled, this California-based group is not your parents band despite the honed and mature music they are bringing forth. With touches of psych and sensible pop, they are firmly rooted in the indie-rock bracket and should make huge strides with the release of their debut album entitled Happy Now, which is out 2-9-18 on 20 Sided Records.
Follow The Wild Kindness on Facebook and if you’re in the SF, California area, be sure to hit the record release party for Happy Now at The Make Out Room on 2-3-18
