We are excited to premiere the 360 live-video from Matt Jaffe entitled “Fire On The Freeway” today. You may know this barnburner of a song off his 2016 LP, California’s Burning, if you’ve seen his intense and scintillating live show. This version is a killer 360 video filmed at Sweetwater Music Hall just north of San Francisco, to view the 360 feature – watch on a smartphone or tablet on the you tube app. Click the link. Swipe on the video left or right or up or down to see it all including the dancing crowd.
The live version of “Fire On The Freeway” is an adventure in feedback and spontaneity that shows how a closing song should be delivered and you can bet the audience walked out with the verse filling their heads.
“Once I find a song that works for closing shows, I stick with it until a new song indisputably dethrones it. “Fire On The Freeway” is a pretty simple blues song, but it quickly became the closer, and I’m excited for how this new video displays the song’s growth from the 2016 album version to the electrical storm that is my nightly sendoff. Also, praise be to the audience (especially front row…) for making the 360 viewing experience worthwhile. They’re often more entertaining than the band.” – Matt Jaffe
