Multitalented, Tony award winning actress/singer/songwriter Lena Hall played PUBLIC Arts recently to promote a personal musical project called Obsessed. Obsessed consists of a new EP released monthly of various artists that have influenced Lena in some form. In the first six months, those artists include Radiohead, Pink, The Cranberries, Elton John, Peter Gabriel and Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
Lena looked like she was fresh off the red carpet, dressed in a sexy blue sequin dress with cutouts in just the right spots. She sang some hits and some deeper cuts for the standing-room only crowd that was enthusiastic to be seeing her in such an intimate place. She spoke briefly between songs giving some insight on how and why she picked these songs; songs like “Sledgehammer”, “In Your Eyes”, “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting”, “Zombie”, “Sober”, “High and Dry” and many more.
Obsessed has new videos being released weekly with the latest artist being covered, Jack White. Be sure to keep checking back to see who will be featured in the remaining months. I already bookmarked the page!
