TAYLOR SWIFT BRINGS HER REPUTATION TOUR TO METLIFE

Taylor Swift kicked off the first night of her highly anticipated New York/New Jersey Reputation tour dates on Friday at MetLife Stadium and brought a show like no other. There were fireworks, acts with video interludes, three-story snakes and two hours of non-stop entertainment.  When you go to a Swift show you expect the works, but you don’t realize the thought and detail put into the show until you’re standing in the middle of the world she has created for her fans.

Charli XCX opened the night with her hit “Boom Clap.”  Bouncing down the arms of the main stage to get the crowd pumped, she followed with a cover of Icona Pop’s “I Love It,” played “Boys” and closed with a cover of Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy.”  Next came a performance by the talented ex-Fifth Harmony singer, Camila Cabello.  She played her hits “Never Be the Same” and “Havana.”

After the “Reputation” video introduction rolled the main stage split apart revealing a hooded and glitzed out Taylor Swift in a cloud of smoke.  Swift kicked off the show with “…Ready For It?” The crowd went mad as an army of dancers clad in Samurai suits joined her on stage.  From there she jumped into “I Did Something Bad” and quickly began working the entire stadium.

Half way through the set, Swift boarded a glowing orb and traveled from the main stage to a secondary stage on the other end of the stadium.  Once there Swift performed “Delicate,” “Dancing with Our Hands Tied,” “Welcome to New York” and was joined by Charli XCX and Camila Cabello to perform “Shake It Off.” Towards the end of the set she played “Long Live” and “New Year’s Day” on the piano.  Swift closed the night with a mash-up of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and “This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things.”
