Emily Danger’s new video for ‘Going Down’ is a frenetic piece that starts slowly with a simple bassline and violin, but as soon Emily starts to sing, you know shit’s going to get crazy. Around the one-minute mark, it does just that with driving percussion, wailing guitars, distorted strings and a pseudo-disco groove that gets your head bopping and feet tapping.
‘Going Down’ was shot in a house in Gowanus featuring amazing actors and over 40 children, which was produced by Prash NYC and directed by Carl Conway Maguire. The addition of the children in the video adds a layer that may of been unseen or heard without them, and makes us wonder what the song is really about.
