Every year CMJ is a time to discover new bands. While you can’t catch them all, you usually can’t go wrong with what you see. Pom Poms, based out of Los Angeles is definitely a band to experience when they come around if you missed them.
They performed their beautiful new single “Betty” for us – the track is hypnotizing despite its simpleness. Watching the duo enjoy themselves in the Paul Smith store, as well as when they are playing the track, can bring nothing but a smile to your face. The black and white production of the video suits the song perfectly making it feel as though you are back in the 60s and you’re watching a documentary of a band long since forgotten. Thankfully for us though they are here now and you shouldn’t waste an opportunity to check them out.
