The U.K. is a pretty unique and special place, and they do some pretty epic things across the pond. Off all the exports coming out of the U.K., pumping out amazing rock and roll bands has to be one of their proudest. On Tuesday, one of their best rock and roll bands, The Subways, announced they’d be returning to the U.S. for a spring tour after eight years of absence playing to American audiences.
Having gained a huge following in Europe and a cult following here in the States, the three-piece rock band is known for their incredibly energetic shows, and catchy riff-driven songs such as “Rock & Roll Queen,” “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang,” “Girls & Boys,” “Kalifornia,” and “Turnaround.” The band has become a staple at the bigger European music festivals, so it was only a matter of time before they made their loud return to the U.S. to help promote their fourth full-length album, The Subways, which is set for an official North American release on April 16, but thanks to Spotify, you can currently listen to the whole album on the free music streaming platform.
The fifteen-date tour kicks off with a Bang Bang on April 12 at Washington DC’s Rock & Roll Hotel and wraps May 3 at The Troubadour in L.A. They’ll be stopping in NYC on Saturday, April 16, at The Studio at Webster Hall. Expect nothing short of a sweaty, loud, outrageous rock show at the intimate underground Webster performance space.
