Russia – nothing to see here! Please watch – Fox News! The best healthcare – for all! Colin Kaepernick – bad! Golf – good!…Wait wrong article, but if you’re looking to escape the antics that dominate everything we see as of late, then hit a live show using our handy pancake picks’ guide below.
Tuesday
Arthur Moon @ Rough Trade – Arthur Moon is a total experience, go see them for yourself at the best record store in Brooklyn.
Pool Cosby & Boo Seeka @ Mercury Lounge – Pool Cosby has been somewhat absent for a while, but are back strong with some fantastic new tunes that will have you dancing up a storm.
Wednesday
Minus The Bear @ MHOW – This indie-rock band out of Seattle has been doing their thing for quite some time now. If you’ve caught their show, you know they rock, if no,t go and see for yourself.
Mac Sabbath, Metalachi & Okilly Dokilly @ LPR – We don’t condone the use of “illegal drugs,” but if you drop some acid or molly tomorrow, stop on by LPR tomorrow and freak out with these costumed bands that will make you lose your mind.
Thursday
Bastille @ Barclays Center – We interviewed Kyle from the band last week and if you hit this gig, you definitely wont be disappointed.
Sleaford Mods @ Warsaw – Sleaford Mods are definitely their own “genre,” and will have Warsaw bouncing around with their minimalistic, electro-punk.
Friday
P&W Presents Tiny Victories, Elliot & The Ghost & more @ The Footlight – Best bang for your buck this week as we bring some of the best bands to you for cheap at the newer Queens venue, The Footlight (its a really cool place).
Deadmau5 @ Hammerstein – Thursday’s show is sold-out, but the popular DJ has two more shows on Friday and Saturday.
Pigeons Playing Ping Pong @ Brooklyn Bowl – Funky, trippy and jammy – what more could you ask for on a Saturday night?
Saturday
King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard @ Webster Hall – Friday’s show sold out in like a minute, because they may be the best live act out there right now. If they aren’t the best, they’re certainly the hardest working band in the biz with 16 shows in 16 days, and another 4 albums on the way…this year.
Stop Light Observations @ Mercury Lounge – A must see indie-rock band hailing from South Carolina…thank us later.
Middle Kids @ Baby’s All Right – Yet another Australia act coming to our shores to dominate. We even heard Sir Elton John loves them as well, be like Elton.
Sunday
Skinny Lister @ Mercury Lounge – End the week on a not-so-chill note with some proper English Folk-Rock via Skinny Lister.
