TURKUAZ MADE ME DO IT

I never miss an opportunity to see Turkuaz live. Never.

When I heard the 9-piece band was back on its home turf, Brooklyn Bowl, I jumped at the chance. Lo-and-behold, it was my lucky day & Turkuaz performed back to back sets of delicious, danceable funk.

It’s no wonder why these guys are blowing up lately. Turkuaz was recently included in Hype Music Festival’s list of The 50 Greatest Live Acts to See NOW. I’ve never seen another band perform with this much passion and energy. I’m convinced it’s truly impossible to listen to Turkuaz and stand still. Give it a go; I dare you.

A beautiful thing about this band is the family vibes present throughout the performance. The success of a live performance is heavily based on the interaction between the members of the band and throughout the show it’s obvious Turkuaz isn’t just a band, it’s a tight-knit family of kick ass musicians on a mission to make incredible music & have an awesome time doing it.

Like many bands in this scene, Turkuaz has a rapidly growing fan base and loyal they are. The Turkuaz experience brings about a sense of comradery amongst the audience. Fans, old and new, become family: swing dancing, jumping up and down, singing along with so called “strangers.” You’ll always leave with a new friend or 5.

Overall, Turkuaz is good vibes & positive energy in audible form and if you haven’t had a chance to experience them live, I highly recommend you catch them in a city near you ASAP. Seriously. Go now.
