Bill Murray has been a comedy legend and household name for more than a generation. He has the unique ability in the entertainment industry to bring a smile to almost everyone’s face. This new tour, however, is a break from his usual song and dance for an actual song and dance. That’s right, Mr. Murray has begun a music career, pairing up with accomplished cellist Jan Vogler, violinist Mira Wang and pianist Vanessa Perez. Murray and Vogler started their friendship through random happenstance of being on a plane together.
From that meeting forward, they decided to work together. They have since released an album, New Worlds, and played select dates last year all over the country. They play classical music, and some pop tunes, while Bill talks and sings over them with poetry or lyrics. This meeting of two worlds is truly a show to see. The tour is coming to Upstate New York to Schenetectady’s Proctors Theatre on Monday, April 9, at 7:30 PM. Tickets are on sale now here. Make sure to get them now before the show sells out.
