Alex Weston is a pianist and composer who resides in NYC, who is dropping his new EP “Kill The Weathermen” on October 7th. The first single, “Hands”, is a dreamy and intricate piano charged masterpiece that sways effortlessly between calm and uneasy. The bridges between the choruses are remarkable in their transition, which in turn sweeps you away to a magical and musical landscape. “Hands” seems theatrical in nature and for good reason – Alex Weston is an award winning composer who writes scores for short films and is currently working on a documentary with the legend, Ken Burns -which is airing on PBS in March 2015.
When not writing rolling masterpieces, Alex is a musical assistant to Phillip Glass, which speaks volumes! Alex Weston also performs on the keyboards with a few bands which include “My Great Ghost” and “Bird Call”. Be sure to pick up a copy of “Kill The Weathermen” on October 7th and see him in action at Cameo Gallery on 11-10 with playwright Sam Creely, who he has been collaborating with on a song cycle.
