Héloïse Letissier, who first was Christine of Christine and the Queens, has found a new persona as Chris and showcased that character during the first night of their two-night stint at Brooklyn Steel on Halloween. Chris opened with the opening track from her most recent album, “Comme si.” Next she embraced her persona as a sex-crazed male in “Girlfriend,” while thrusting with and seducing her dance troupe. Later, Chris became Michael Jackson reincarnated as she and the Queens executed drastic leans and slow motion moves during “Tilted.” The crowd embraced her message in “Doesn’t matter” and sang along to the chorus of “If I believe in God and if God does exist, if I believe in God, and if God does exist.”
