Lucky fans like us who are experiencing My Morning Jacket in one week (September 10-11th) at NY’s Forest Hills Stadium will be able to share the joy with friends far from Queens. The mind-blowing Louisville rockers have announced a livestream for September 11th – night two of their Forest Hills run – available exclusively on nugs.net. Viewers can watch in real-time on September 11th at 8:30pm ET and also replay the show on-demand for 48 hours. Don’t forget to buy and/or subscribe here before the big night next Saturday.
It’s an awesome time to catch Jacket because they’ve got two full albums of new material shaping their setlists. With the release of The Waterfall II in July 2020 and their self-titled ninth studio album coming out on October 22nd via ATO Records, anything could happen on these two nights in Forest Hills, which will also feature talented opener Brittany Howard. To satiate your cravings in the meantime, check out MMJ’s enveloping new single/video, “Regularly Scheduled Programming,” and preorder the new LP if you haven’t already.
Another bit of cool news: Jacket have partnered with Reverb and Fandiem in efforts to create a climate positive tour. By donating to Reverb – the green nonprofit working to reduce concert and tour footprints – fans will be automatically entered for a chance to win a trip to MMJ’s One Big Holiday all-inclusive concert vacation set for March 2-5, 2022. The winner will receive two tickets for an all-inclusive 5-night deluxe room hotel stay, roundtrip air travel and ground transportation, Jim James’ new signature Gibson guitar, and more. There are still a limited range of all-inclusive One Big Holiday packages available too – more info here.
