After almost 20 years of success and devoted fandom, Fall Out Boy headlined a four-act bill at Boston’s historic Fenway Park last Wednesday. While not quite sold out, the energy in the stadium was enough to fill two ballparks.
Between a rousing set from Bring Me The Horizon, which included what must be the first time someone told Fenway to “Open up the pit” and Worcester’s own Four Years Strong, the crowd was amped up and ready to go.

Fall Out Boy’s new cover of “We Didn’t Start the Fire” was a great prelude to the set which included bass player Pete Wentz shooting fire out of the end of his bass during “The Phoenix.” The fire lasted all night with tons of pyro, effects and of course, classic Fall Out Boy hits like “Sugar We’re Doing Down” and “Thnks fr th Mmrs” along with new hits from “So Much (for) Stardust,” Of course, in Boston, they had to play to the hometeam with “I’m Shipping Up to Boston” and a tease of Fenway classic “Sweet Caroline.”
