LUCIUS RELEASES “GENEVIVE” + TOUR DATES

It is apparent, Lucius is the shit. Excuse the language, but “Genevive 7” released on Mom + Pop/Dine Alone Records, comprised of ballads “Genevieve” and cover of Tears for Fears “Everybody Wants To Rule the World” was pre-released on July 1st 2014 and is now already sold out. Imagine dirty garage with the accompaniment of an acoustic quintet you might hear in Heaven’s waiting room. Lucius’s newest EP is a limited edition vinyl created in see-through green, yellow, and classic white and was featured in SPIN magazine and now is available through their website http://lucius.kungfustore.com.

Lucius’s soulful melodies are arresting, playful, and fun both live and on record. Lucius has a look and sound reminiscent of sixties crooners and they are easily swoon over. Lucius is the musical answer to some the part of the younger generation which is often left feeling pretty down and out due to relationships and feelings of where they belong in the world. Their performance in Seattle at Triple Door was brilliant as well.

Lucius’s Rdio Session- recorded in the notorious Driskell Hotel in Austin, Texas during SXSW is now available as well. Lucius will continue to tour throughout the summer and fall, making appearances at Newport Folk, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, with headlining dates of their own and supporting Sara Bareilles.
