Bird Dog Brings an excellent new summery song off their upcoming EP, called, Bon Bon Voyage. Blood Runs Cold reminds us of those lazy summer days laying in a hammock, beachside, whilst sipping on a cold beverage. In fact, Ben Chase (lead singer/guitarist/songwriter) says this – “I was on a heavy Phyllis Dillon kick when this tune found its way onto the fretboard, and my brother and i got pretty smooth on the vocals, channelling that sentimental island soul that she captured. Maybe the band was a little skeptical when they first heard it, but they found the groove quickly… everyone knows you gotta slow it down for the lovers from time to time.”
A song for lovers and loners alike, Blood Runs Cold, is sure to get you thinking about the dog days of summer. After the winter we had, it surely will be embraced.
