T. HARDY MORRIS BLURS GRUNGE AND COUNTRY IN NEW VIDEO “MY ME”

If you have a weakness for musicians who can’t be defined by a single genre, then T. Hardy Morris is your kryptonite. In his brand new music video for “My Me,” originally premiered on KEXP, he snags elements from grunge, country, and Southern rock and mashes them into a perfect storm. Meanwhile, the video’s backwoods backdrop and homemade fuzz gives the tangle of coming-of-age lyrics room to breathe.

It’s tough not to crush over lines like “I cut my losses, I grew my hair,” which Morris snarls with exactly the bad boy attitude your mother warned you about. His band, the Hardknocks, are right there with him. Swaying to their own rowdy sound, they’re the kind of group who are either rocking t-shirts or no shirts at all (a whole other kind of kryptonite).
