herMajesty Puts The Pieces Together With New Single

A single that ties in perfectly with a curated photo series has the same kind of collector’s appeal as a one-off pressing that comes with a book of lyrics. But that’s not the only reason we’re excited about herMajesty’s newest release.

The contemplative Greek artists are exactly that; artists. The blend of indie, psychedelic, and world music that brings new single “My Body Your Mind” to life is seamlessly woven into the body art photo series from Alice O’Malley. The photographs, which span lead singer JP’s skin like a faraway beach, show him decorated with their lyrics in bold, black paint. The effect is bewitchingly human, and best enjoyed while taking in their eclectic sound.

In “My Body Your Mind,” herMajesty drifts away to another world with their use of bouzouki, as well as an ancient Middle Eastern instrument called the oud. Like tumbling ocean waves, the melody pulls you in again and again with JP’s raw vocals and a twinge of unpredictability. The only thing left to do is let go and float away.
