This past Friday night, April 15th, Le Poisson Rouge, was graced by the presence of Sarah Neufeld, who played a collection of songs from her debut solo album Hero Brother along with her latest release, The Ridge which came out on February 26th of this year released on Paper Bag Records.
The female Canadian violinist who is known for her contributions to Montréal’s critically acclaimed art-rock group Arcade Fire, brought vivid emotions to the stage, as she passionately bowed and plucked her violin to the packed audience at LPR. Neufeld was accompanied by Stef Schneider on drums, and renowned saxophonist Colin Stetson joined Neufeld on stage for the last few songs. Sarah was greeted by many friends after the show as she frequents the area enough to call Brooklyn a part-time home; catch her next on stage this summer with Arcade Fire as they headline night one of Panorama Music Festival on Friday, July 22, 2016 in Randall’s Island Park.
