JOE MARSON GOES TO CHURCH IN HIS VIDEO FOR “GOTTA BE GOOD”

One of our favorite singer/songwriters, Joe Marson, is back with another fantastic video and this time he brings us to church with “Gotta Be Good.” Last time we saw Mr. Marson, he was clowning around across the country in his cover video for “Soul To Squeeze,” and now he’s back at it again with a zany church service, complete with a hungover preacher who hits on his congregation.

The video, while fantastic, doesn’t outshine the groovy tune as it hits all the right notes with thumping bass, retro-guitar, thundering piano and Joe’s signature soul-vocals. The juxtaposition of the lyrics and the actual ‘church service’ is what makes this video near perfect, and with lines like “I don’t believe in the heaven above me – I don’t believe in the devil, nor does he believe in me,” we doubt Joe would be welcomed in a church anytime soon.
