Club owner/concert promoter Peter Shapiro then came out to encourage everyone to get out and vote.  He wanted everyone to take out there phones and text a friend to remind him or her to pledge to vote on JamTheVote.org so they could stream the show live.  He even texted an old school teacher while on stage before introducing the house band for the evening, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
