Last May we premiered one of the best rock videos of the year with Added Color‘s “Psycho,” so we are thrilled to bring you another standout track today from the Brooklyn rockers entitled “Just Because.”
“Just Because” is a catchy and rhythmic tune highlighted by a bouncing bassline and clever lyrics about a dear friend that passed away from (FUCK)Cancer. The celebratory nature of the song shines bright despite the loss and reminds us that music can not only heal, but help others do the same. The track is off Added Color’s newest EP called Mr. Industry and is due out on one of our favorite holidays, 4/20.

“The song was written for my friend Yotam who passed away after a long fight with cancer. He always kept a positive attitude and lived his life to its fullest, not letting his condition bring him down. He was an evolved soul. Every time we play the song I feel like I get to hang out with him. The song is about living your life up, chasing your dreams and not apologizing for being yourself since we don’t have much time here.” – Kiko Freiberg
