PANCAKE PICKS: BEST SHOWS OF THE WEEK FOR 1-21-19

Since we didn’t get dumped on with a foot of snow, the city is clear and ready to rock; check out our best shows of the week below to help set your musical calendar including our own showcase Sunday night at Coney Island Baby with Arthur Moon, Adios Ghost and Moon Gel.

Tuesday

The New Tarot @ Brooklyn Bowl – We are pumped for this gig and the eclectic indie rock from The New Tarot, get there early for sets from You Bred Raptors? and The U.S. Americans.

Wednesday

Everest Cale @ Knitting Factory – We’ve been kicking it with this fantastic rock band for years now, come see why at the always cool Knitting Factory.

Thursday

Boyfriend @ Rough Trade – Boyfriend is a rap spectacle that you have to see and hear to believe.

King Princess @ Irving Plaza – King Princess is primed for a breakout year and will throw it down at a few different venues this week.

Friday

Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks @ BK Steel – It’s been a bit since we last seen Stephen Malkmus (4knots fest 2015), so we are excited to catch the former Pavement leader do his indie-rock thing.

G. Love & Special Sauce @ Irving Plaza Come celebrate 25 years of G. Love & Special Sauce and their chill brand of rock at Irving Plaza.

Saturday

Rubblebucket @ BK Steel – One of our favorite bands here at P&W and for many good reasons; fun music you can dance and sing to while leaving all your problems at the door.

Kacey Musgraves @ Beacon – We don’t mess with country music all that much here, but Kacey Musgraves is special, see why at the Beacon.

Sunday

Pancakes And Whiskey Presents: Arthur Moon, Adios Ghost & Moon Gel @ Coney Island Baby – Three exciting bands for one low price. There’s no better way to spend Sunday night than with us at Coney Island Baby.
